About Eat Think Vote

What is Eat Think Vote?

Eat Think Vote is a campaign where communities across the country hold events with electoral candidates to talk about food systems issues that matter most to them. We eat together, we think about the food issues, then we vote in the federal election!

Why is it important to hold this campaign now?

This is a critical time for Canada. Poverty rates are rising, the cost of groceries is increasing, and now the US-imposed tariffs are adding another layer of pressure. This triple threat is making it harder for us all to access the food we want. The good news is that food issues are being talked about across the country. Now is the moment to act on food sovereignty in Canada.

How would holding an event in my community help?

Holding, attending, or supporting an event in your community allows you to have face to face conversations with candidates in your area so you can tell them what is important to you and see where they stand. Then, the candidates who get elected will bring what they learned in your event to the federal level.

How can I get involved?

You can host or attend an event (see below) or volunteer or support the campaign (click here)!
